The short answer is no. Credit repair companies cannot remove recent bankruptcies, but they can help you improve your credit score by showing you how to raise your score yourself.

Many credit repair companies are often able to remove recent bankruptcies from credit reports. They do this by utilizing a legal loophole that requires credit bureaus to disclose, on request, any public records related to the consumer. Once the consumer requests that such records be disclosed, the consumer can then submit a dispute of the accuracy of the bankruptcy information and have it removed.
